🌟 About the Role
We are looking for a collaborative Localisation Specialist to join our team and support the delivery of multiple game projects across PC and console. This role sits at the intersection of localisation and quality assurance (QA). You will coordinate day-to-day localisation operations across several titles, ensuring all languages are integrated smoothly, delivered on time, and ready for our players. Working closely with our QA team, you will help validate in-game text and support targeted testing to ensure an inclusive, high-quality experience for a global audience.
📋 Key Responsibilities
- Localisation Delivery: Guide localisation timelines across multiple projects and languages; track progress per milestone to ensure on-time delivery; and collaborate across development and QA teams to keep workflows moving smoothly.
- Partner & Freelancer Coordination: Act as a main point of contact for external localisation and LQA partners; coordinate freelance translators; and support teams by resolving queries, sharing feedback, and proactively managing project timelines.
- File & Pipeline Management: Prepare and organise localisation files (e.g.,
.po,XLIFF,Excel,CSV); handle imports and exports via tools such as Lokalise; and ensure file integrity and correct formatting. - Quality Checks & LQA: Perform initial reviews on delivered translations to catch formatting or text issues; coordinate LQA testing with internal and external QA teams; and track resolved issues through to validation.
- QA Support: Validate localisation directly in-game to check text display, formatting, and language switching; support general QA with release readiness checks; and contribute to testing on smaller projects where needed.
💪 Skills That Will Help You Succeed
- Relevant Experience: A background in localisation, QA, production, or a related coordination role within video games, tech, or software.
- Organisational Strengths: The ability to balance multiple priorities and keep different project moving pieces organized.
- Collaborative Mindset: Great communication skills and comfort working with external partners and cross-functional internal teams.
- Proactive Nature: A natural curiosity for problem-solving, with the confidence to flag project risks early and see tasks through to completion.
✨ Bonus Skills (Not Required, but Lovely to Have)
- Familiarity with localisation tools such as Lokalise or Poedit.
- An understanding of game QA processes, bug tracking, and testing methodologies.
- Knowledge of one or more additional languages is a wonderful bonus, though English is our core working language.
